ORCHARD protocol

Activity in. Apple out.

Two contracts are live on Base: the ORCHARD token and THE GRAFT, a Uniswap V4 hook on the single ORCHARD/AAPLc pool. Every trade on that pool pays a tax in AAPLc: 2% on buys, 3% on sells. The hook sends the tax straight to the treasury wallet.

Three more contracts are written and not deployed: the Harvester, the Rows and the Grove. Nothing feeds them. Nothing streams to holders. Nothing is set aside.

What is live

Both live contracts are verified on Basescan. The ORCHARD/AAPLc pool is not created yet.

ORCHARD

• Name Orchard, ticker ORCHARD, 18 decimals.
• 100,000,000 minted once to the deployer at construction. Nothing can add to the supply.
• No owner, no pause, no blocklist, no fee on transfer.
• burn and burnFrom exist. Supply can only go down.

The Graft

• One hook, one pool. The PoolKey is pinned at construction: ORCHARD/AAPLc, LP fee 0.30%, tick spacing 60. beforeInitialize refuses any other key, so no second pool can use this hook.
• Tax: 2% on buys (AAPLc in), 3% on sells (AAPLc out). Both are constants. There is no setter and no owner. The tax cannot go up or down.
• The tax is always taken in AAPLc. When AAPLc is the specified amount, the hook taxes it in beforeSwap through BeforeSwapDelta. When AAPLc is the unspecified amount, it taxes the pool's AAPLc delta in afterSwap through the return delta.
• In both cases the hook calls poolManager.take(AAPLc, treasury, fee) inside the swap. The hook never holds funds.
• The treasury address is immutable. It is the team wallet shown below.
• Every taxed swap emits Grafted(sender, isBuy, fee).
• Public views: buyTaxBps(), sellTaxBps(), treasury(), poolId(), boundKey(), poolFee(), poolTickSpacing(), aaplIs0().
• Permissions: beforeInitialize, beforeSwap, afterSwap, beforeSwapReturnDelta, afterSwapReturnDelta.

Where the tax goes

The tax goes to the treasury wallet, a team wallet. It does not go to holders, to stakers, to a Harvester or to a Grove. None of those are deployed.

The treasury's AAPLc balance can include funds that did not come from the tax.

Not deployed

The Harvester, the Rows and the Grove are written. Their source is in the repository. They are not deployed, and nothing on this site should be read as a promise that they will be.

• Harvester. A permissionless harvest() that would split AAPLc between the Rows and the Grove. Not deployed.
• Rows (Orchard). Staking: plant ORCHARD, pick AAPLc. Not deployed.
• The Grove. A reserve of AAPLc to burn ORCHARD against. Not deployed.

Lexicon

Owner powers

None on the token. None on the hook.

• OrchardToken: no owner, no admin, no mint, no pause.
• GraftHook: no owner. The taxes are constants. The treasury, the pool key and the pool id are immutables.
• The treasury is a wallet controlled by the team. What it does with the AAPLc it receives is not enforced by any contract.

Issuer controls and risks

• AAPLc is a B20 Asset token, a tokenized security issued by Coinbase for eligible non-US persons. The issuer can pause transfers and apply transfer policies.
• Every taxed swap moves AAPLc to the treasury inside the swap. If AAPLc is paused, or if the issuer blocks the treasury from receiving it, taxed swaps on the pool revert. Neither the token nor the hook can change the treasury.
• AAPLc carries a WAD multiplier for dividends and splits. Raw balances do not rebase. The UI shows scaled units.
• The Chainlink AAPLc/USD feed is read for display only. No contract depends on it.
• Uniswap V4 hooks are new code. The contracts are unaudited.
• No affiliation with Apple, Coinbase or Base. ORCHARD confers no rights to Apple stock.
